Information we handle
- Account and sign-in information, including name, email, profile details and Google sign-in identifiers when you choose Google.
- Trips, dates, destinations, itineraries, places, notes, ideas, collaborators and invitations.
- Bookings, confirmation details, uploaded booking documents, budgets, expenses, receipts and currencies.
- AI prompts, chat messages, generated plans, suggestions and usage/credit records.
- Subscription status and Stripe customer/subscription identifiers. Goavela does not need to store complete payment-card details.
- Technical information needed to run and secure the service, such as session, device, request and error information provided by Base44 and hosting infrastructure.
- Information stored on your device for core features, including onboarding state, preferences, favourites, reminder flags, map state, AI-session/cache data, an optional offline cache of trip, day and location information.
How information is used
We use it to authenticate you, provide and secure planning features, save and share trips, process invitations, support AI features, search places, display maps, provide optional directions, manage subscriptions, troubleshoot problems and respond to support or deletion requests.
Maps and road directions
Goavela displays street maps using the map provider selected by the service administrator. The available providers are Esri World Street Map and Google Maps; each uses map data from its own listed providers and contributors. Loading a map sends ordinary network information, including your IP address and the visible map area, to the active map provider’s tile or style service. Registered itinerary points and straight itinerary lines are rendered in your browser.
Goavela does not calculate or display travel-time estimates. When you choose Directions, Goavela opens the external navigation provider selected in your Settings. Available choices include Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze, Naver Maps and HERE WeGo. The destination name, address or coordinates are included in the external link, and the selected provider processes that information under its own terms and privacy practices.
Services involved
Depending on what you use, information may be processed by Base44 (authentication, database, storage, hosting and AI integrations), Google (sign-in and optional Places/search features), Stripe (checkout, billing and customer portal), AI model providers reached through Base44, Base44’s Core.SendEmail service for invitations and support notifications, Google Fonts, Unsplash images, Esri World Street Map or Google Maps services, external navigation services selected by the user, and Open-Meteo weather forecasts. Base44 hosts uploaded files and app media, including media served from media.base44.com. Image, font and map-tile requests disclose network information such as your IP address to the serving provider. Weather requests send location coordinates to Open-Meteo. Choosing Directions opens the selected external navigation provider with the relevant destination information. The underlying AI models, email-delivery subprocessors, file-storage regions and backup schedules are not identified in this application source; the owner must confirm them from the active Base44 configuration and provider agreements before publishing. Those providers process data under their own terms and privacy notices. Base44 SDK app analytics is disabled in Goavela’s client configuration for launch; no advertising tracker was identified in the source review.
International transfers
Some providers may process or store information outside your country, including in the United States or other locations where they operate. The owner must identify the actual provider locations and transfer safeguards before publication and describe any applicable contractual, adequacy or other safeguards here.
Sharing and collaboration
Trip owners may invite collaborators. Information in a shared trip can be visible to its owner and accepted members according to their role. Booking documents marked private are intended to remain owner-only, but avoid uploading data you do not need for planning.
AI and travel information
Content you submit to AI features may be sent to an AI service to generate a response. Do not include sensitive personal or payment information in prompts. Goavela is a planning tool, not a travel agency or booking provider. AI outputs, prices, opening hours, routes and travel times can be incomplete, outdated or wrong. Verify important details directly with the relevant provider before booking or travelling.
Storage, retention and deletion
Records are retained while needed to provide the service, protect it, meet legitimate operational or legal needs, or resolve disputes. You can request account deletion from Settings. A request is reviewed before processing and is not immediate deletion. Uploaded files are stored separately; complete binary deletion and backup expiry must be verified with the storage provider before the owner promises a deletion timeframe. Your preferred external directions provider is stored with your account and in this browser so direction links open consistently.
Your choices and rights
You can edit many details in the app, choose your external directions provider, disable optional AI dashboard tips, manage an active paid plan through Stripe’s customer portal, leave shared plans where supported, and clear local browser storage. Depending on applicable law, you may ask for access, a copy or portability, correction, deletion, restriction, or to object to certain processing, and may complain to the competent data-protection authority. Submit a request through Contact & Support; identity verification and lawful exceptions may apply.
Cookies
Goavela currently uses only storage and cookies necessary for authentication, security, preferences and core app operation. See the Cookie Notice.
Changes
This notice may change as Goavela, its providers or legal obligations change. The updated date will be revised and material changes should be communicated appropriately.
